People will almost always feel uneasy among strangers. When people are arriving at a presentation its almost certain that they don't feel good. ESPECIALLY if they arrive by themselves. Even a slight discomfort can ruin their positive experience.

THE BATTLE COULD BE WON OR LOST EVEN BEFORE THE PRESENTATION STARTS

For this reason you need to coach all your team-members on this and make sure they understand why they need to either bring their guests OR be there first.

So how do you Make People FEEL Good?

MLM Presentation Strategy #1:
The first thing you need to do is: Make  Them  Feel  welcome.

Just saying "welcome" is not enough. You have to make them relax and feel good about the
people there. You do this by talking with them.

Ask them who invited them and take them to that person. If that person is not there you or someone else HAVE TO take the role of being their “substitute” friend.

Make small talk and get to know something about them. Ask them where they are from, what they do for living, if they have been in business before etc etc.

Next: You must find someone they can talk to... preferably someone they have something in common with, and them introduce them to each other.

Let say you are greeting someone called Bob and the person that invited them haven't arrived yet. So you ask bob a few questions and you find out he is a builder from NY City  

Say something like ”Hey Bob let me introduce you to Allan. He's one of our leaders and he used to be in construction.Allan... Meet Bob he is a builder from New York. I apologize but I have to get back to greet people. Nice to meet you Bob.. Enjoy yourself."

If you don't know anyone that has something in common with the guest introduce them to anyone.

Because its so important to not leave anyone by themselves you should have a welcome committee to take care of this. I cannot stress enough how important this is. If they don't feel great about being in your audience you will start your presentation with a disadvantage. But lets move on to..

MLM Presentation Strategy #1:
The first 5 minutes of the presentation FOCUS ONLY on creating trust and bonding.

If they don't connect with you and like and trust YOU it almost doesn't matter how good
yourcompany and products are.

So how do you create trust and bonding?

First of all.. Don't hide... get close to them. I mean this both physically and emotionally.

Don't hide behind a lectern and get as close to them as you can without sitting in their lap.  

Start telling YOUR story of how you ended up there. Tell about some of you the problems or challenges you had that lead you to this company. Get Emotional(but without been whiny)
Let them see and FEEL who you really are.

Most people think great presenters are more or less born with the skills and that they themselves could never be good at it or overcome the nervousness of public speaking. If you think that... you simply couldn't be further from the truth.
